How Respite Works for Caregivers in Calgary

Respite services provide caregivers a planned break from primary care duties through in-home, out of home, and at-centre respite services. Caregivers can reduce stress levels and work on commitments beyond the house. On the other hand, the client can avoid institutional placement.

Entrust has a team of trained respite workers, therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals who collaborate with you to develop custom plans to achieve short and long-term goals.

We offer the below respite services in Calgary.

Out-of-Home Respite

Your loved one comes to stay with us for an average of 2-3 days in an Entrust Residential Care Homes. They are treated to individualized creative activities and receive specialized support if needed. You also get 24-hour respite for scheduled overnight or weekend stays.

Private In-home Respite

One of our respite workers will take over In-home caregiving responsibilities. This program can encompass overnight stays or extend to several days or weeks of support. It’s an optimal solution for those who need specialized care without leaving their familiar surroundings.

Respite Accommodation Home Stays

Designed for longer stays of 5-10 days, this type of care involves your loved staying with us in one of our Calgary based residential care homes. We have multiple homes with a dedicated amount of beds reserved exclusively for short-term respite care.

This option is ideal for caregivers who need a longer break such as a holiday, and allows your loved ones to gain independence and get used to being away from home while still having all the support they need.
