The Assistant Manager (AM) is a critical leadership position that works independently to provide primary supervision of Support Workers as well as front-line support, as needed. We are looking for someone who is patient, kind, trustworthy, mature, empathetic, and caring in nature, as well as a good communicator with leadership skills.
Standard Hours of Work: Wednesday to Sunday, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and support our front-line Support Workers in all aspect of their role, particularly during their training and residence demonstration.
- Responsible for in-house training, on-going coaching, and evaluation of staff.
- Address concerns in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Ensure Support Workers have the skills needed to adequately assist individuals, create
opportunities that enable relationship building. - Ensure personal care is provided in a dignified and private manner.
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation including grocery pick up and proper storage of foods.
- Attend/follow up with medical appointments, administer First Aid as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Police Clearance
- Child & Youth Intervention Record Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level – C
- A diploma or degree in the field of Human Services is mandatory.
- Access to a reliable vehicle (transportation) and a Class 5 AB Drivers License and liability insurance.
- Individuals with previous experience in disability support services preferred.
Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Youth and Family Intervention Record Check and First Aid Level C are conditions of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate.

The Community Disability Support Worker (CSW) is a key front-line position on our support
team that works directly with individuals with disabilities. As a critical member of our team, you will be part of providing individuals with quality of life in areas such as: daily living, recreation and leisure and community inclusion. You will follow part of supporting our individuals to achieve their full potential in employment, community, social, residential environments, and life pursuits.
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Responsibilities:
- You are passionate about being an advocate for our individuals as well as ensuring their daily needs are met.
- You take pride in providing Personal Care in a dignified and private manner including administering medication and/or communicating health concerns.
- Attend/follow up with medical appointments, and administer First Aid as needed.
- Engage in home maintenance activities i.e., cleaning, laundry, decorating, etc. while encouraging individuals to participate to their best ability.
- Support individuals with their goals to participate in productive or skill development by determining their vocational interests. As well as ensuring they are supported in the pursuit of leisure activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- We are looking for candidates who can work flexible full and part time shifts ranging from 20-40 hours per week, with a minimum of a high school diploma.
- Experience in supporting individuals with complex behaviors would be considered an asset.
- Some shifts may require support to be provided in our client’s home.
- Those with experience working in-home offering respite support are preferred, but not required.

program.
