Chantal Cork is an Entrust client who lives at Burrow, a residential care facility. When Chantal first moved into the supported living environment, she only enjoyed a few recreational activities: jumping on the trampoline for physical exercise, watching TV for entertainment, and playing with cotton and feathers as sensory activities.
Chantal has improved significantly in her personal development since then. Now she spends at least an hour a day reading independently. She is also developing a new life skill -- baking!
Chantal loves to bake various treats including cookies, muffins and cakes. She laughs and expresses how happy she is throughout the entire baking process. Chantal loves every moment of her baking activities -- mixing the ingredients together, putting the prepared batter in the oven and eagerly waiting for her homemade treat to be ready. Baking has become one of Chantal's greatest personal achievements in her journey toward independent living skills!
